The Pirc Defense
The Pirc Defense is a hypermodern opening: 1.e4 d6 2.d4 Nf6 3.Nc3 g6. Black allows White to build a big center, planning to challenge it later.
For visually impaired students, the early moves d6 and g6 stand out and help memorize the setup.

Typical Ideas
*For White:*
* Build a big center with e4 and d4.
* Use moves like Be3, Qd2, and sometimes h3 to keep flexibility.
* Attack on the kingside.
*For Black:*
* Attack the center later with ...e5 or ...c5.
* Use the fianchettoed bishop to control long diagonals.
* Keep the position flexible.
Why this is useful for visually impaired players:
* The pawn moves d6 and g6 plus the fianchetto are clear patterns.
* Black’s plan is not immediate; it develops slowly, which makes visualization easier.
* Shows how to challenge a center instead of immediately fighting for it.
*Conclusion:*
The Pirc Defense teaches patience, flexibility, and hypermodern ideas.
